AKARTA: A Transjakarta bus caught fire on Jl. Kramat Raya, Senen, Central Jakarta, the Jakarta Police traffic management center reported Tuesday.
TMC officer Brig. Denny said the bus caught fire near the headquarters of state oil and gas company Pertamina.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
Transjakarta official Gunardjo said they suspected the fire was cause by a short circuit in the air conditioner, which triggered a fire at the rear of the bus.
Gunardjo said the bus, which served the Ancol-Kampung Melayu corridor, was a relatively new vehicle.
