AKARTA: Justice and Human Rights Minister Patrialis Akbar will inaugurate Haidir Amin Daud, his office's new director general of legal administration, in a ceremony Friday.

Haidir will take the position left vacant by Syamsuddin Manan Sinaga, who was convicted in an online corruption scandal that cost the state Rp 400 billion (US$40 million) in losses.

The Attorney General's Office had also declared Syamsuddin's predecessor Romli Atmasasmita, his successor Zulkarnaen Yunus, president director of PT Sarana Rekatama Dinamika (SRD) Yohanes Waworuntu, and Ali Amran Zannah, who oversaw the ministry cooperative responsible for running the online site, as suspects in the case.
