AKARTA: Businessman Anggodo Widjojo, who faces justice obstruction charges, was too ill to answer Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators Wednesday, his lawyer Thomson Situmeang said.
Anggodo visited the KPK and spent about one hour there after he complained of a headache.
Thomson said that Anggodo's ill health was a result of stress in relation to why his estranged friend, Ari Muladi, had not been questioned by the KPK yet.
Ari, a suspected case broker, once claimed he had bribed KPK leaders and had carried out a favor for Anggodo's fugitive brother, Anggoro.
The KPK named Anggoro a suspect in a corruption case concerning the acquisition of a Forestry Ministry communication radio before he fled to Singapore.
"*Anggodo's* mind has been preoccupied with why the KPK have not named Ari Muladi a suspect while my client has been questioned 10 to 13 times as a suspect," Tomson said.
"People thought that Anggodo enjoyed impunity," Tomson said.
