AKARTA: Prosecutors at the South Jakarta District Court charged a widow Wednesday with planning a terror act and aiding terrorists in Surakarta, Central Java, last year.
Putri Munawaroh, the only survivor from the police raid in Surakarta last year, was the wife of Adib Susilo, a suspected terrorist shot dead by the antiterror squad during a raid of their hideout.
"The accused violated the anti-terror law," Prosecutor Teguh told the court hearing.
"The accused bought food and other daily necessities *for the suspected terrorists*.
"She also looked after their security at the house," the prosecutor said.
"When the antiterror squad raided the house, she said she hoped she would die as a martyr."
The couple rented a house at Kepuhsari hamlet, Surakarta, an area hiding most-wanted terrorists Noordin M. Top and Bagus Budi Pranoto - all were killed in the raid.
Munawaroh's left thigh was wounded.
