Restricting the freedom of companies to employ the staff they need is clearly no answer to the threat to foreign investment.

First prosecute those guilty of arson for breaking the law and then feel free to pursue further
resolution.

Please make this country a safer place for foreign investment so we can move ahead in the world, rather than being left to the control of hoodlums and rioters.

If there is a problem with inter-cultural workplace relationships in Batam, surely address this, but just blaming foreigners is a sad outdated and myopic view of a global world where Indonesians wish to be welcomed as foreign workers in other countries and protected by those countries laws and must surely provide the same welcome and protection at home.
