If he wasn't so busy, he'd either spend his Sunday in bed, in front of a B-grade movie or with a fishing rod.

I'd love to spend all of Sunday sleeping. I don't get much, usually just three to four hours a day. I typically work until the early hours of the morning, and then I'm up at 7 p.m. for another day.

My Sundays are like any other day of the week. I write. I create treatments for TV commercials. Right now, I'm overseeing auditions for Onrop, my musical, which will come out later this year. I also practice with my new band Mantra, which I sing with.

I enjoy all these activities so that makes up for not getting sleep. Plus, I'm working with people who feel like family. We all love working on Onrop, we usually continue hanging out after the day's work is done, and continue discussing the project.

However, while I'm sociable and love being around groups of people, I enjoy being alone. I like to watch movies by myself, either at home or at the cinema.

My favorite director is Paul Thomas Anderson, and my favorite film of his is romantic dramedy Punch Drunk Love, starring Adam Sandler. His films are the kind I'd buy on Blu-ray, along with ones such as True Romance and The Butcher Boy.

I also like B-grade movies. I like movies that are generally trashed by people. I consider underdogs to be sexy, and treat them as such in my films. I'm an underdog - that's why I'm sexy. Like sexploitation flick Showgirls - a lot of people hated it, I loved it.

My other underdog favorites are Boat Trip, which is about two men who end up on a gay cruise; horror movie Troll 2, considered one of the worst films ever made - it's currently no. 59 on IMDB's Bottom 100; and Killer Condoms, a German horror film about castrating condoms.

I like bad films that have a good spirit and heart. They've tried their best, they've put their everything in them, but they've failed.

I far prefer these films to arthouse ones. For example, I've never watched a film by Yasujiro Ozu, a Japanese director popular among serious film students. His films are too slow for my liking.

I also enjoy fishing. I used to fish while I was at college. My friend came from a place known for fish ponds, and I've visited and fished with him. I found it very calming. The last time I fished was in 2007, while making Kala. I'll fish the next time I get my free Sunday.
