AKASSAR, South Sulawesi: The authority has put 20 illegal Afghanistan immigrants, who escaped immigration detention center in Makassar on June 15, back into custody late Thursday.
The 20 immigrants were detained in two separate centers in Gowa regency.
Head of Makassar Police intelligence unit, Comr. Karim Samadi, said the whereabouts of the immigrants were disclosed to the authority by residents.
"The residents were suspicious of their presence in the village for around a week and reported them to the police," he said Friday.
