T

elevision has become people's best friend nowadays. People watch TV not only to be entertained, but recently also to get updates about what is happening in this big country.

TV is now believed to broadcast the most immediate news throughout Indonesia. (By Putu Ayu Ditta S. Ustriyana, Jakarta).

Your comments:

Yesterday I saw a TV program. It's a quiz that asks you to guess some missing part of some song's lyrics and also the title of the songs. In the last episode they had 6 young artists as participants.

I was entertained to see those kids participating on that quiz, they're trying to guess the title of the songs and the lyrics, some answers were right and some wrong, but what made me a little bit sad was when they hardly answered the correct songs' title for the Potong Bebek Angsa song's!

It's an irony. While they easily answered D'Masiv or Anang's song, they didn't know what Potong Bebek Angsa was - an old popular Indonesian traditional song.

By the time I saw it, I know the answer why they could do such a thing, it's simple because nowadays every channel and program broadcast the same adult song repeatedly and rarely show kids' songs or Indonesian traditional songs.

It's not the quiz program or the kids that I blame, but in my opinion, those kids should know more about Indonesian traditional songs.
