AKARTA: The United Development Party (PPP) says Golkar has no right to propose a cabinet reshuffle following a recent evaluation saying that some ministers have been under-performing.
“The only one who has the right to reshuffle the cabinet is the President,” PPP deputy secretary-general Muhammad “Romi” Romahurmuziy told reporters at the House of Representatives in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Previously, chief of the Presidential Work Unit for Development Monitoring and Control (UKP4R), Kuntoro Mangkusubroto reported that several ministries had been given red marks for poor performance.
Among those ministries are the Communication and Information Ministry under Tifatul Sembiring, and the Justice and Human Rights Ministry under Patrialis Akbar.
Golkar then proposed a reshuffle for the ministers who are considered to have failed in leading their respective ministries. — JP
