erapi victims have by now reached hundreds of thousands of people. It is such a disheartening situation that must be addressed effectively.
One of the most important things is to help them with trusted hands that will not misuse the donations given.
To be honest, Indonesia is a country with a chronic corruption problem. Some of us fear that our donations will not reach the hands of the victims who desperately need them.
We must realize that selfishness must be eradicated in times like these.
It is a time for our nation to unite through caring, giving and helping. Perhaps one of the ways to try to diminish possible corruption might be not to donate money but donate commodities, such as food, clothing, or even toiletries and undergarments.
Indonesia must unite more than ever in times like these. Let us care for
the helpless because we, too, would cry for help if we were in their
shoes.
