AKARTA: PT Iforte Solusi Infotek has issued US$10 million in bonds to Karya Investments Pte. Ltd. of Singapore for financing its Internet broadband connection network and building new micro BTS infrastructure, Iforte’s president Peter Djatmiko announced here over the weekend.
Presently Iforte offers broadband network solutions and Internet services to corporate customers primarily in the Jakarta Metropolitan area using fiber-optic cables that have been laid along major main streets all over the capital city.
Its services include dedicated Internet connection (with speeds up to 10 GBps), leased line, web and mail hosting, server co-location, virtual private network (VPN) and dark fiber leasing. Iforte also provides VSAT services throughout Indonesia with a hub in Jakarta, the company said in a press release.
This year, Iforte is expanding its business to provide Micro BTS infrastructure in the Greater Jakarta area to optimize the use of its fiber-optic cables. Its target market for this business is cellular operators and Wimax (broadband wireless access) operators. — JP
