esidents beat a man for threatening a neighbor’s guest with a gun in Cipayung subdistrict, Ciputat, South Tangerang on Friday.

The police said that the man, identified only by the initials TS, 38, also had to deal with the police for the illegal possession of a weapon.

Ciputat police chief Comr. Alip said that the incident took place when Haris, 32, a resident of Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara in Ciputat arrived at the neighborhood on a motorcycle to visit a friend.

The noises made by Haris’ motorcycle while passing through infuriated TS. The latter took out a gun and stopped the motorcycle.

“Luckily, the incident was witnessed by others in the neighborhood who later rushed to help the frightened guest,” said eye-witness Nadir.

Alip said that TS had confessed to investigators that he took the loaded weapon from inside a motorcycle he once washed.
