outh and Sports Minister Roy Suryo officially addressedon Monday the 621 athletes who will compete at the upcoming 2013 SoutheastAsian (SEA) Games in Myanmar.

Roy encouraged all the sportsmen and women to do their best at the biennial multi-sporting event so that Indonesia could maintain its title as overall winner.

'I am delivering a message from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono; he expects you all to fight for the name of Indonesia and to maintain our position as the overall winner. We need to hear Indonesia Raya at least 120 times at the event,' he said.

Some of the athletes will start departing for Myanmar on Tuesday as some of events will be competed ahead of the opening ceremony on Dec. 11.

Roy said that ultimate victory by the Indonesian team was the responsibility of all the contingent's members; therefore, he said he expected them all to cooperate well during the event, which runs from Dec. 11 through 22.

This year's 27th SEA Games will feature 33 sports with 460 gold medals up for grabs.
