Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) has alleged that graft cases happened in the printing and distribution of guide books for the problematic 2013 national curriculum last year involving a publishing house and one of the Culture and Elementary and Secondary Education Ministry's work units in Malang, East Java.
Your comments:
I hate this kind of gratification. Why should it be allowed to happen in this field?
Education is a fundamental need of our next generation. Education is a basic need.
If this basic need is tampered with all will become hopeless. I am unable to expect much from every aspect of government policy. The government has already shattered mine and many people's expectations through gratification, corruption and collusion.

It is a glaring fact that there was ongoing corruption from 2003 to 2013 (from Mega to the SBY administrations) and no audits were carried out by the ICW on the matter of printing guide books for schools in the country. What happened and why?
It is only now that things are moving given that Minister Anies Baswedan and President Jokowi will accept no nonsense in regard to anything under their responsibility.
Two things in particular stand out: there was no bidding for the printing contracts for the entire stretch of 2003 to 2013 and the ministry didn't take the necessary action to verify the agreements to print as soon as they were verified and endorsed by all parties ' year after year.
Finally, I am sure that those greedy thieves are still working in the Education Ministry (teachers included) ' they are waiting for half a chance to steal again. Root them out, one by one and prosecute them ' stop this nonsense once and for all.
I suggest the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) keeps a close watch on this area. Something is very wrong here.
