Guess what?: Ferry Maryadi gives son a hero'€™s name

J

AKARTA: Ferry Maryadi says he'€™s named his newborn son Kabay Anaking after heroes from the Sundanese and Star Wars mythos.

The first name comes from devil-may-care Sundanese folk figure Kabayan '€“ '€œan ingenious, smart character who is always one step ahead,'€ the 40-year-old actor said, as quoted by kompas.com.

Anaking, meanwhile, was inspired by Anakin Skywalker '€“ Darth Vader'€™s real name. '€œI love Star Wars, too,'€ Ferry, known for his work on the comedy show Ceplas-Ceplos, added.

He also offered another meaning for the name: favorite son.

'€œIn Sundanese, kabayan means baby boy, while anaking means favorite child.'€
