Girl band JKT48 is slated to collaborate with the Japanese group AKB48 for a concert in February.
'AKB48 are our sisters. Two years ago they came to Indonesia and we were still in training so we couldn't work with them,' JKT48 member Melody Nurramdhani said, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
'Now, we already have several songs of our own, so we can collaborate with them.'
Melody said that JKT48 would sing in Japanese while AKB48 would sing in Indonesian for the concert.
'We hope it will be a full house concert and we can entertain our fans,' she said.
JKT48 has a total of 68 members, comprising 19 girls from the J team, 21 from the KIII team and 27 trainees.
