ambi Police's water directorate have arrested six suspects in the murder of 16-year-old Erik bin Edi Hartono, whose body was dumped in the Batanghari River.
Police spokesperson Adj. Sr. Comr. Almansyah said Wednesday the suspects had been arrested separately in the past week.
The suspects were identified as Firmansyah alias Muk, 28; Manda Anugrah, 18; Ardi Riyansyah alias Yan, 19; Amam Hanafir, 18; Alvin Afredo, 16; and Andre Hizandra, 18.
Almansyah said that the police continued to investigate the case. Preliminary findings showed that the murder was related to a drug deal.
The police have also confiscated bongs and a digital scale in the case.
'The water directorate is working with the drug crime directorate because of this suspicion,' Almansyah said. (***)
