AKARTA: Singer Indah Dewi Pertiwi released new records of her singing hit songs from other pop artists, namely the pop rock bands Koes Plus, Dewa and Padi.

Indah said she expected criticism on her album Dejavu. '€œI'€™m a fan of those bands. I expect people to compare me with the original singers.

'€œAll of the singers are male so the songs are rearranged to fit with my vocal range,'€ she was quoted as saying by tribunnews.com on Thursday. Musician Tohpati was involved in the recording as a musical arranger. Indah said covering the hits of a different era, the 1970s and 1990s, was challenging.

'€œWe treated each song very carefully so as not to over do it.'€
