Tantri Syalindri Ichlasari, the vocalist for rock band Kotak, says she loves reading whenever she finds the time.

'€œI love to read books, especially novels and non-fiction works such as autobiographies, but I am not really a freak book reader,'€ Tantri told The Jakarta Post during the premiere of Rock N Love, a semi-biographical film about the band, at Rasuna Epicentrum in Kuningan, Central Jakarta, recently.

'€œThe novels that I read have various themes. Sometimes I like reading novels on love or about parenting,'€ she says.

The 25-year-old singer said that among the many authors whose works she had read, she was really into the style of Alberthiene Endah, the former journalist who has written numerous novels about urban life and biographies of public figures, such as former first lady Ani Yudhoyono.

'€œThe reason I really love Alberthiene'€™s works is because of her writing style. She uses very simple language and words, yet they can expand my imagination and really absorb me into knowing the characters and the ordeals they are facing in the story,'€ Tantri said.

Here are three books Tantri says that she enjoyed reading.
