n electric train from Tanah Abang in Central Jakarta collided with a motorcycle in Serpong, South Tangerang, on Thursday, causing no casualties but disrupting the commuter line schedule.
Electric train operator KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) assistant manager Adli Hakim Nasution said that the train hit the motorcycle at a crossing which had no on-guard officer, in between Sudimara and Rawabuntu stations. The train's journey was halted for an hour as the motorcycle was trapped underneath it.
Nonetheless, Adli confirmed that the motorcycle rider was safe, saying he had jumped from his motorcycle as the train approached.
'After being halted for an hour, the train resumed operation at 2:20 p.m. after our officers removed the motorcycle,' he said as quoted by kompas.com, adding that the train passengers had been transferred to the next scheduled train shortly after the accident.
