Filmmaker Joko Anwar says he is planning to make a movie about Indonesiaâs haze issues
ilmmaker Joko Anwar says he is planning to make a movie about Indonesia's haze issues.
Filming, he said, would take place in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, one of the areas worst affected by smoke from land and forest fires.
'The scripts are ready and we will start filming later this year,' Joko said as quoted by Antara news agency.
However, the director said he had not held any auditions. 'I'm planning to audition local people for the movie,' the 39-year-old said.
Joko's works include Kala, Pintu Terlarang (Forbidden Door) and Modus Anomali. His latest film, A Copy of My Mind, was recently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, and is slated for release in Indonesia in February 2016.
