n unidentified man was hit by a commuter train in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, at 10:15 a.m on Sunday. The man was crossing the railway, despite the barrier have being lowered.
'The man was crossing the railway when the commuter train came through,' witness Ade Nur, 41, said as quoted by kompas.com, adding that the witness had apparently not noticed the train's approach.
Kebayoran Baru Police chief Comr. Agus Rizal said that officers had gone to the man's aid, and that he was seriously injured but still alive.
