ivid Sydney Festival, the world's largest festival of light, music and ideas, returns for its eighth year to light up the Australian harbor city until June 18.
Beyond its showcase of illuminations, the festival also features a lineup of programs including a series of creative discussions as well as music events that rock the city for 23 consecutive nights.

Bjork Digital Exhibition
Icelandic singer-songwriter Bjork has once again proves her eclectic musical style through her new virtual reality (VR) project. Housed inside the halls of Carriageworks, the largest contemporary multi-arts center of its kind in Australia, Bjork invites you to explore her digital space: from 360-degree videos of her most recent album to a remastered cinematic experience of her groundbreaking music videos.

Sydney Film Festival
A major event in the New South Wales calendar, the 11-day festival is one of the longest running film festivals in the world, screening more than 180 films from more than 50 countries, plus hosting talks, Q&As, parties, red carpet events and more. It also features discussions and idea exchanges with filmmakers on numerous creative and philosophical issues behind the scenes.

Silent Disco
Prepare yourself to get lost in a disco that plays the music of your choice in the nightly ambiance of Central Park. The event features 3 DJs, sets of headphones, three audio channels to choose from, and a dance floor under the lights of the projections that cast onto the old Brewery Yard Building.

Vivid Au Go Go: Visiting Hours
Visiting Hours is an immersive theatrical experience that transforms the Kings Cross Hotel into a mysterious old hospital filled with ghosts of the past. With multiple floors and rooms, all is not what it seems as twists and turns await those who enter this forgotten place.
Where: Kings Cross Hotel, 244-248 William Street, Kings Cross
When: Wednesdays and Thursdays until June 16, after dark
Tickets: $30 plus booking fee
Deep Purple Pool Hall
Running exclusively for only ten nights, Sydney Opera House's pop-up pool hall offers you the best harbor view in the city.
