tate-owned Bank Mandiri continues to aggressively develop digital banking services to advocate the adoption of new habits amid the spread of COVID-19.

For this reason, the company has developed Mandiri Hospital Application Solution (MHAS) to shore up medical facilities such as hospitals and medical clinics in conducting financial management in order to optimize medical services for the public.

MHAS is a web-based service to help process administrative transactions by medical facilities which can be accessed anywhere and anytime. The digital solution is supported by big data technology to help medical facilities’ management make further decisions.

The MHAS service will assist medical facilities in maximizing revenues and at the same time making a reconciliation by system. On top of that, the medical facilities can also utilize the Account Receivable Settlement to facilitate the payment of claims from pharmaceutical companies as its partners. Medical facilities can also have easy access to the Hospital Claim Financing facility to help the bank’s liquidity prior to receiving claim payments from the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan).

.

According to Bank Mandiri’s senior vice president of transaction banking wholesale, Tri Nugroho, currently more than 250 medical facilities in Indonesia, including 28 owned by the government, have taken advantage of the MHAS services.

“In line with the company’s intention to become a financial partner by customer choice, Bank Mandiri continues to develop financial products that are flexible and reliable because this can help customers comprehensively.

With this solution, we hope Bank Mandiri can enhance medical facilities’ efficiency in order to reach more people in need,” Tri said.

He added that the development of MHAS services was also driven by medical facilities’ need for digital services to reduce business operations conducted manually, especially in the current period of large-scale social restrictions.

“During the pandemic period, we want to strengthen medical facilities with financial services that are able to answer the liquidity need quickly and safely. This is what we want to offer through Hospital Claim Financing facility,” said Tri.

The financing facility is easily accessed because what the medical facilities should do is just attach the claim document that BPJS Kesehatan has confirmed. The ceiling of the facility can be adjusted to the need from the medical facilities.

As of December 2020, Bank Mandiri distributed Rp 4.9 trillion in the Hospital Claim Financing facility.

“We hope that this support can be utilized optimally by the medical facilities in order to bolster the government’s efforts to make Indonesia free of the COVID-19 pandemic,” he explained.
