umerous hospitals and health facilities are currently in dire need of oxygen concentrators to help save the lives of thousands of COVID-19 pandemic patients as unprecedented number of cases has soared.

Due to the sharp increase in the number of pandemic cases, many hospitals are facing oxygen concentrators shortage, making them unable to supply oxygen for patients quickly, which means the lives of thousands of COVID-19 patients are under threat.

This has prompted East Ventures to initiate Indonesia PASTI BISA Safeguards Oxygen, a fund-raising campaign under which it aims to raise US$ 1 million to purchase and bring in minimum 1,000 oxygen concentrators to hospitals in Indonesia.

The ongoing Indonesia PASTI BISA (Indonesia is surely able) Safeguards Oxygen will run to July 26, 2021.

Amid the peak rise of COVID-19 infections and the need for oxygen supply for patients, Indonesia PASTI BISA plans to procure machines that are able to flow 10L/min 90+% of pure oxygen to be donated to hospitals.

The campaign is highly supported by PT Sasa Inti, Ministry of Health, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, IndoTech SG, the Indonesian Professional Association Singapore (IPA SG), KawalCOVID19, and many others.

The rare availability of oxygen has become a serious concern for the government.

“We invite all parties to play an active role in saving the lives of thousands of COVID-19 patients in Indonesia by participating in Indonesia PASTI BISA Safeguards Oxygen,” says PT Sasa Inti in a statement.

Apart from the issue of oxygen concentrators shortage, distribution of medical oxygen is also facing a challenge as not all regions have medical oxygen distributors in their area. This is not to mention the process of mobilization and distribution that takes time, while hospitals and health facilities need oxygen immediately at the same time.

The system of oxygen supply can run smoothly by ensuring that no obstacles can be found from production to distribution, according to the government.

The distribution based on needs and an effective procurement system are the keys to meeting oxygen needs throughout Indonesia.

“To help hospitals get an adequate supply of oxygen and to support the government in ensuring effective distribution of oxygen supplies, East Ventures and our partners invite you to support our movement,” East Ventures says.

“We accept fund donations from anyone to meet the target of US$ 1 million for procurement of 1,000 oxygen concentrators. We will distribute the oxygen concentrators to hospitals in need throughout Indonesia. Progress and results of the project can be monitored directly on this website,” it says.

Meanwhile, out of the minimum needed 1,000 oxygen concentrators, 200 have already been purchased and were handed over by the Ministry of Health to Indonesia PASTI BISA on July 14. The oxygen concentrators were dispatched them to priority hospitals on July 17.

To ensure the implementation of Indonesia PASTI BISA, East Ventures develops a partnership with other parties, with each having their own role to play in helping save the lives of thousands of COVID-19 patients.

So, by donating fund through Indonesia PASTI BISA Safeguards Oxygen, you will participate in helping save the lives of thousands of COVID-19 pandemic patients.
