To support the distribution of consumer goods in the country, PT Indonesia Distribution Hub launched an application, IDH.id.
The application has been developed since 2019 as a business-to business (B2B) medium for online shopping, as well as increasing productivity and efficiency for brands, official distributor, traders and traditional shop owners.
The IDH.id application was created by the cofounder and director of PT Indonesia Distribution Hub to overcome business obstacles in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
CEO and cofounder of IDH.id, Jack Ng, said digital transformation in the FMCG industry had become a necessity. This needs to be done with the change of consumer behavior in the digital era, as well as the rise of millennials in the FMCG businesses.
“We, as business actors in the consumer goods distribution business process, understand the pain points, problems and obstacles in FMCG. For this reason, conventional distribution of goods needs to be strengthened by increasing digital technology so that business is more efficient and in accordance with the change of the times," Jack said in a press release received by kompas.com on Thursday (11/11/2021).
Jack added that digital transformation was able to reach more micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) compared to the conventional business model.
“Digital transformation by IDH.id can also bring together modern MSMEs and digital resellers with guaranteed product resellers. This can’t be done by conventional business means,” he added.
The IDH.id application not only focuses on supporting business synergy, but also guarantees availability and delivery of goods from official resellers, facilitates venture capitals and provides features that helps business actors when it comes to controlling products that are sold according to a specific area.
That is what pushed the development of IDH.id to move forward together with business partners, which are brand owners and official distributors in increasing service for traders and traditional store owners all over Indonesia.
With the IDH.id application, brand owners and official distributors all over Indonesia can collaborate on offline and online promotion strategies. This will maximize sales on the needs of shop owners all over the country.
Moreover, Jack added that store owners could still get all the facilities that had been accessed offline.
“In fact, [facilities] are increasing with the benefits and convenience provided by the IDH.id application by online transactions,” explained Jack.
To increase services, the IDH.id application was developed by a collaboration with several well-known brands, such as PT Unza Vitalis and PT Amerta Indah Otsuka.
Furthermore, IDH.id also collaborated with official distributors and technological company PT Tokopandai Nusantara.
“The IDH.id application will keep adding features and the latest technology. The application can become a platform to get the best products with the best service and the best prices,” he explained.
With that, Jack continued, IDH.id could be a solution for all business actors in the FMCG industry.
“Store owners can get a better experience and convenience in buying products according to their needs, guarantee the security of digital transactions and get business capital more easily,” he explained.
