Law practitioners launch INIAC to provide legal certainty to business owners
The Indonesia International Arbitration Center (INIAC), established by law practitioner Arif Edison and Prof. Jimly Asshiddiqie, was founded on 17 Aug. 2021.

he Indonesia International Arbitration Center (INIAC), established by law practitioner Arif Edison and Prof. Jimly Asshiddiqie, was founded on 17 Aug. 2021. INIAC is a business dispute resolution institution whose decisions are executable in all member countries of the 1958 New York Convention.
“INIAC brings the solution that business owners need: certainty. Our professional staff can guarantee that because we have foreign experts and professional arbitrators across five continents," said Arif.
INIAC ensures competitive prices and quick, quality service. It requires only three to six months for case resolutions, two times faster than the time needed by Singapore's arbitration center, SIAC. The institution, Arif added, had also gained approval from the Law and Human Rights Ministry.
The institution implements an online justice system that keeps it from corrupt practices. This also allows arbitrators to be based in different countries, thus removing the need for physically meeting with disputing parties.
In addition, INIAC forbids its chairman to preside as an arbitrator or judge who examines cases. It is a step in a new direction for Indonesian judicial culture, where heads of judicial institutions can join judicial panels.
"At INIAC, the chairman cannot intervene or participate in the case. Our management only strives to deliver the best service to organizations," said Arif.
"What is certain is that INIAC offers 5-star quality services at affordable prices. More importantly, INIAC wants to promote legal certainty in Indonesia on the international stage to help increase the confidence of investors and foreign entrepreneurs to enter the market and set up their business in Indonesia," he concluded.
Currently, INIAC is prioritizing training and standardizing Alternative Dispute Resolution in business for professional and business owners.
