Share food in the spirit of togetherness amid Eid

T LG Electronics Indonesia (LG) held a three-day social action from May 4, 2022 in Jakarta to distribute healthy food to those in need during Idul Fitri, also called Lebaran.
The “LG Lebaran Sehat” (healthy Lebaran) event distributed food in the spirit of sharing, kinship and togetherness of the Islamic holiday to communities around three different waste management sites around Greater Jakarta: in Warung Buncit and Rawajati in South Jakarta, and at the Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Management Facility in Bekasi, West Java.
"During the special occasion of Lebaran today, which is full of togetherness, we simply wanted to share our enthusiasm with people in need that they are not left behind," said Lee Taejin, president of LG Electronics Indonesia.
He added that LG Lebaran Sehat aimed to develop a spirit of community solidarity, and the event was also a way for LG to demonstrate how they contribute to the communities where it operates. The company also encouraged their customers and employees to take part in the social action in their own way.
Lee and several senior managers personally managed the distribution of hot meals, which were safely heated using a G microwave during the event. The meals were accompanied by cold mineral water, freshly poured from the integrated water dispenser in the latest LG two-door refrigerator that was transported to help facilitate the event.
“These two LG products illustrate our mission to innovate, to create technology that brings and spreads good to improve people's lives," said Lee.
LG Lebaran Sehat is just the start of the company’s social action agenda, which includes future programs that incorporate its products. In addition to wider regional distribution, LG is also expanding its collaboration with stakeholders across industries.
Lee emphasized the efforts were all rooted in the company’s spirit of growing together.
"This small action can grow into a big movement, joining together parties that have the same passion and concern to nurture a sense of togetherness among communities," he said.
