ptik Tunggal announced a collaboration with Lindberg, an eyewear brand from Denmark, to further prove their commitment to provide the best choice, service and quality for their customers. The Lindberg Private Trunk Show by Optik Tunggal was held for two days, starting on June 11 in their Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta branch and/or in ZEISS Vision Center at Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta.
The trunk show promises various innovations and minimalist eyewear, each unique in their own way and all a part of the Lindberg limited edition released in May. Customers are also welcome to customize and personalize each eyewear with their initials and based on their color preference.
“This service is a golden opportunity for Lindberg fans in Indonesia who want a personalized frame and the only one in the world,” said Marichris Ty, regional managing consultant of Lindberg, who will be present at the event. The customization, however, will only be available for two days, in Plaza Senayan on June 11 and Plaza Indonesia on June 12.
Optik Tunggal's director of operations, Doli Rosmiaty, said that the event has been long anticipated by customers and the customization service will be a first for the Lindberg brand in Indonesia.
“We distributed a lot of invitations to our loyal customers and actually we are quite surprised by the enthusiasm that we received from the customers. We’ve had a lot of questions; on what kind of special service, what kind of special collections they can see in today’s event. So, we were really quite surprised,” Doli said.
Established in 1929, Optik Tunggal has been trusted by the people of Indonesia to provide the best high-quality eyewear. Meanwhile, Lindberg has long been known as a pioneer of eyewear in the world, with a list of clienteles that include the royal family of Denmark, Elton John, Meryl Streep and Bill Gates among others.
Each frame is made without screws or bolts, and the eyeglass material chosen is unusual compared to other brands. Some of Lindberg’s eyewear collections are made of titanium, buffalo horn, gold, diamond accessories and fossilized oak wood that is more than 6,000 years old.
“The other thing that makes us very unique I would say is we’re very optically driven, which is why we partnered with Optik Tunggal. That is something that is in the DNA of Lindberg as well. We are an optically driven brand; we serve the optician,” Marichris added, commenting on what makes the brand unique, describing it as a marriage between optics and design.
The brand’s innovative design shines through the very light, elegant, strong and comfortable quality of their products. Their consistency in the minimalist, modern and high-tech Danish design has transformed them into one of the most iconic handcrafted-eyewear brands, winning many prestigious awards around the world.
“So, Lindberg is driven by Danish design. […] The values are minimalism, so you’ll see this kind of spread out between industries, and you’ll see this especially in our brands. Our brand is really minimal and that’s part of the Danish design tradition,” Marichris explained. “And the other word we would use to describe it is quality. So -- quality and craftsmanship. All of these things are very much a part of technology and what drives Lindberg to be innovative and to kind of capture the cutting edge on the market.”
Lindberg products are also divided into three levels: the regular collection, the buffalo ring and the precious. The buffalo rings are those made with buffalo horns, usually worn by officials and ministers. The highest tier, the precious, is described as “jewelry for the face”, usually containing 18-carat gold and diamonds.
Also asked about what customers can expect for the future of the collaboration, Lori replied: “Currently we only have the two stores. However, we are looking into the possibility of holding this event in the future for other major cities.”
“Back to the precious, we look forward to collaborating more with Tunggal to show our precious here. So that’s something that hopefully will happen in the future,” Marichris concluded.
