PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) ended the 2021 period with rapid growth across all its business lines.
PNM assets were recorded at Rp 43.71 trillion (US$2.95 billion) at the close of 2021, a growth of 138 percent year-on-year (yoy) compared with 2020.
The company’s PNM Mekaar Program and PNM ULaMM were major contributors to the increase in PNM’s assets. PNM Mekaar financing productive assets reported growth of 165 percent since 2020, reaching Rp 25.6 trillion up from 15.5 trillion; while PNM ULaMM experienced an increase of 103 percent to Rp 6.6 trillion, compared with 6.4 trillion in 2020.
PNM booked a net profit of Rp 845 billion throughout 2021, compared with Rp 359 billion as recorded in 2020. As of December 2021, PNM’s gross non-performing loans (NPLs) were recorded at 0.69 percent. This consolidated NPL figure is better than the 1.23 percent recorded in December 2020.
In line with the increased disbursement of loans, PNM has also experienced rapid growth in its customer base. As of December 2021, PNM recorded 11 million customers, with an additional 317 PNM Mekaar branches. As of June 28, 2022, PNM has disbursed finance amounting to Rp 131.4 trillion to 12 million PNM Mekaar customers
Currently PNM has 3,336 PNM Mekaar service offices and 688 PNM ULaMM service offices throughout Indonesia, serving micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in 34 provinces, 443 regencies/mayoralties and 5,640 subdistricts.
