PNM receives 2022 Merdeka Award

P

T Permodalan Nasional Madani achieved the 2022 Merdeka Award for the MSME Empowerment Program category in Jakarta on June 30. This award was given to PNM as an appreciation for the government institution’s outstanding contribution to the growth of homegrown MSMEs while inspiring many to work for the country’s development.

“PNM has consistently provided three capitals -- financial, intellectual and social capital. The financial capital is provided through productive financing programs; the intellectual through training, information and experience sharing; while we provide the social capital by facilitating customer-to-customer connections. By doing so, we are able to create a network of businesses that can accelerate each other’s growth. This award will certainly motivate PNM members to give our best service to MSME consumers while also advancing economic democracy with the three pillars as the main core,” said PNM executive vice president Sasono Hartanto upon receiving the award, thanking PNM’s hard work and dedication.

As of June 30, PNM has disbursed the financing of Rp 132.32 trillion (US$8.9 billion) to 12 million customers. Currently, PNM has over 3,386 PNM Mekaar officers and 688 PNM ULaMM service offices across Indonesia, serving MSEs in 34 provinces, 443 regencies and cities and 5,640 districts.
