CDRB Bank Tanzania holds comparative study to PNM

P

NM hosted a delegation from the CDRB Bank Tanzania Sharia Advisory Board Study Tour on July 18, 2022 at PNM Tower to conduct a comparative study of sharia banks and sharia financial institutions in Indonesia.

The CDRB Bank Tanzania team was greeted by PNM Director of Operations Sunar Basuki, PNM Management and Partnership Services Head Mira Damayati Hardjono and PNM Business Capacity Development Head Dicky Fajriansyah, along with Sharia Business Unit Head Ramon August and Business Management Head Wisnandi Habang.

According to Abdul A. Mohammed, the Chairman of CDRB Bank Tanzania, the comparative study is being conducted because PNM is the largest ultra-micro group-based financing provider in the world with 12.1 million active customers as of July 2022.

"We assessed that PNM has succeeded in improving welfare solutions through access to capital, assistance and capacity-building programs for business actors. With the largest number of ultra-micro customers, CDRB Bank Tanzania hopes to expand its ultra-micro business in Tanzania,” he said.

As of July 18, 2022, PNM has disbursed as much as Rp 69.67 trillion in microloans to around 12.1 million PNM Mekaar customers. The company currently has 3,386 PNM Mekaar service offices and 688 PNM ULaMM service offices serving MSSEs in 34 provinces, 443 regencies/cities and 5,640 subdistricts across the country.
