n Aug. 2, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) recorded positive performance growth despite the challenging world economic conditions. PNM disbursed loans of Rp 29.27 trillion (US$2 billion) with growth of 26.07 percent year-on-year (yoy). The increase in financing distribution also recorded positive growth, with the main support being PNM Mekaar, which had grown 30.6 percent by June 30.

Meanwhile, in terms of total interest and sharia income, the value rose from Rp 3.61 trillion in the June 2021 period to Rp 5.63 trillion in June 2022. In addition, other sources of income such as investment managers, securities sales, management consulting services and reduced overall operating expenses helped PNM's operating profit reach Rp 592.03 billion, an increase of 38.54 percent (yoy) compared with the previous operating profit of Rp 427.33 billion. As a result, PNM's profit for the current period still reaches Rp 458.29 billion. The number of PNM offices also grew from 3,673 on Dec. 31, 2021, to 4,195 service offices as of June 30 this year due to the expansion of PNM’s reach.
