PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) joined hands with Bank Permata Syariah and the Subang regional government to inaugurate the Ruang Pintar Cinta Mekaar learning center in the Cintamekar village, Serangpanjang district, Subang regency on Friday.
T Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) joined hands with Bank Permata Syariah and the Subang regional government to inaugurate the Ruang Pintar Cinta Mekaar learning center in the Cintamekar village, Serangpanjang district, Subang regency on Friday. The opening of Ruang Pintar in Kalibatur village was symbolically opened by head of the PNM Subang branch, Jimi Firmansyah.
Also present in the ceremony was Subang regent Ruhimat, Subang deputy regent Agus Masykur Rosadi, head of the Subang Integrated Investment and One-Stop Services Agency (DPMPTS), Dadang Kurnianudin, head of the department of population and civil registration, Sumarna, Serangpanjang district head Agus Hermawan, Sagalaherang police chief First Insp. Irpan Taufik Firman, commander of military sector command 0054/Sagalaherang and Suherlan Sahbana as the head of Cintamekar village.
Ruang Pintar is an ongoing part of PNM’s corporate social responsibility to facilitate online learning among children of PNM customers and surrounding communities. The learning center provides laptops, internet access, nutrition packages, schoolbags, books, stationary and school uniforms. Through Ruang Pintar’s one year-run, PNM hopes to contribute to educating underprivileged children facing difficulties in online learning, especially in the Cintamekar area.
“With this learning center, we hope to ease the financial burden of parents whose children are doing long-distance learning. Ruang Pintar is also expected to play a major role in empowering this community and provide access to digital information on the internet for children of PNM customers and Kalibatur residents,” said Jimi.
As of Aug. 26, PNM has disbursed Rp 137.61 trillion (US$9.2 billion) in financing to 12.5 million PNM Mekaar customers. Currently PNM has 3,500 PNM Mekar offices and 624 PNM ULaMM offices that serve micro and small enterprises (MSEs in 34 provinces, 443 regencies and cities and 5,640 districts).
