tate-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir stressed the importance of MSMEs in the national-economy constellation during the kick-off event, 30,000 state-owned MSMEs go online, which was held on Aug. 29 at Tennis Indoor, Senayan, Central Jakarta. During the event, a business registration number (NIB) was provided to 30,000 MSMEs, including 600 customers of PNM Mekaar, as well as a sharing session of business tips from MSME actors who have gone international. With the many state-owned MSMEs that went digital, it is hoped that the welfare of the people and the economy improves and increases via MSMEs that grow successfully in the digital world.

“MSMEs are job openings in Indonesia. The world has changed a lot now; if we don't adapt, don't understand digital, then we will not progress. Because this digital world will make jobs change and the type of business change. We have to help each other, otherwise we are just spectators, especially in the digital era now,” said Erick.

In addition, free online training and assistance to 30,000 SOE MSME actors all over Indonesia was provided, by involving experts in the e-commerce sector to encourage SOE-fostered MSMEs to market their product online and optimize the performance of MSMEs. The training is aimed to increase the ability of MSME actors to operate a business model, which is given in stages in over three months starting from August to October.

Moreover, as of Aug. 29, PNM has distributed financing of Rp 137.77 trillion (US$9.3 million) to PNM Mekaar customers, totaling up to 12.5 million customers. Currently, PNM has 3,500 PNM Mekaar service offices and 624 PNM ULaMM service offices throughout Indonesia serving MSEs in 34 provinces, 443 regencies/cities and 5,640 subdistricts.
