inar Mas Land has been an active contributor to the development of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem through its Digital Hub program, which has been held since 2018. This year, its Digital Hub Goes to Campus was held under a brand new name: “DNA Goes to Campus”.
The main event, titled “Industry 101: The Most Wanted Competencies”, was held online on Thursday via Zoom. This year, DNA Goes to Campus collaborated with five Sumatra universities: Universitas Andalas, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Universitas Riau, Universitas Internasional Batam and Institut Teknologi & Bisnis Darmajaya.
"For four consecutive years we have held this event in Greater Jakarta. This year, we’ve broadened the network to reach out students on the island of Sumatra to open a new horizon and knowledge of digital development in major cities in Indonesia,” said Irawan Harahap, Sinar Mas Land chief of digital tech ecosystem and development and host.
“This program shows our support for students and fresh graduates in preparing themselves to enter the real professional work sphere, specifically in the digital industry, which has developed massively. We hope that this series of seminars and discussions can provide the knowledge and motivation to become highly qualified digital talents,” he added.
DNA Goes to Campus 2022 was also organized by Nakama.id, a start-up community that has connected over 3,000 founders with potential investors. With Nakama.id’s support, DNA Goes to Campus organized a virtual road show on Instagram Live with representatives from five universities from Sep. 19 to 28. Selected participants joining from the start will get a chance to win a giveaway worth Rp 3 million (US$197).
"DNA Goes to Campus provides an opportunity for Indonesian talents to get knowledge about the current digital developments in major Indonesian cities. This will help them map and direct their interest, talent and what they want to do after they graduate,” said CEO of Nakama.id, Debora Temmy.
The event was also attended by Purwadhika founder and CEO Purwa Hartono, DANA cofounder and CEO Vince Iswara, Dekoruma.com CEO and cofounder Dimas Harry, Glints general manager international sales office Billy Jantriko and KPMG ASPAC head of people, performance and culture Ivana Arlianto.
