ank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI is committed to becoming a transformation agent in the implementation of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). Therefore, the entity, with the stock code BBNI, is actively building a portfolio in green financing and green activity.

BNI is back to accelerate the usage of battery-based electric vehicles (KBLBB) in Indonesia by building a public electric vehicle charging station (SPKLU) at Crea Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali. The SPKLU was inaugurated along with a new BNI outlet with a digital and an iconic tourism theme.

Previously, with the support of state-owned electricity company PLN, BNI became the first banking institution to operate two SPKLU partnership schemes. They are both operating in Jakarta.

The schemes were part of a partnership agreement between BNI and PLN on April 26 regarding the infrastructure provision of SPKLU in areas where BNI operates.

The inauguration was attended by PLN director of distribution Adi Priyanto, BNI president director Royke Tumilaar, BNI consumer banking director Corina Leyla Karnalies, BNI director of network and services Ronny Venir and BNI digital business senior executive vice president (SEVP) Rian Kaslan, as well as officials of related agencies in Bali on Friday.

Royke said BNI, as an agent of development as well as an agent of services, had a social responsibility to synergize with the regional government of Bali province and Badung regency to rebuild the economy in Bali.

Furthermore, the strategic path also aimed to develop Nusa Dua as the host of this year’s G20 Summit, to be held in Bali on Nov. 15-16

“BNI Digital Channel–KCP Crea Nusa Dua outlet as a thematic outlet presents a new face full of character ready to provide excellent service, support community economy and realize sustainable development to help the government achieve economic recovery with a set of digital services such as DigiCS, Sprint and a cash deposit machine (CRM) to ease transactions," said Royke.

With the inauguration of the BNI Digital Channel–KCP Crea Nusa Dua, Royke continued, the company would certainly bring a new spirit to improve the quality of service to the community.

"The presence of these digital outlets can strengthen the foundations of the economy so that they are more qualified and competitive, especially to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the distribution of capital loans," he added.
