Human Initiative redefines humanity for this coming Idul Adha

T

he time of joy and blessing is right around the corner and that is nothing less than the joy of giving. As Jackson Brown Jr. once said, “Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.”

Opening the 2023 theme of “Worthful Qurbani”, the Human Initiative’s Qurban Program invites all people from all walks of life in Indonesia to make this blessing possible. Especially considering those affected by disasters and regional conflicts, this act of service is beyond just a remembrance of giving.

By participating in qurban through Human Initiative, individuals in marginal communities will enjoy good-quality meat, even beyond the nation including Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Bosnia, Myanmar, Palestine and Turkey. Everyone deserves to taste qurban meat on Idul Fitri.

Quality assured, Miftahul Surur, leader of the Human Initiative qurban squad explains how qurban meat is rarely indulged in by communities that tend to get overlooked. This accessibility needs to be expanded.

“From a high level of poverty, people choose other food as their daily nutritional intake. Unfortunately, during Idul Adha, they rarely get the opportunity to consume meat,” Surur said.

.

Human Initiative ensures ease in the qurban process. Within 14 days, a report of the participants’ good deeds will be posted on the official website of solusipeduli.org and send to the individual email, which will provide a complete report for the qurban participant, regional information pre-qurban and the final report consisting of documentation.

Data from the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development show that beef consumption in Indonesia within 2021 was below the world average of 6.4 kilograms per capita. This inspires Human Initiative to further expand the benefits of its Qurban Program, to provide benefits for all, as the bare minimum that everyone deserves is equal access to contentment and celebration.
