he Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place unveils “The Harmony of Hives,” a captivating Bee Sanctuary and an exquisite Honey Delight Afternoon Tea experience. The event is expected to show guests the beauty of bees, the serenity of nature, and the indulgence of culinary delights.
The establishment of the dual program marks another milestone in the hotel’s ongoing sustainability efforts and its commitment to the value. The sanctuary serves as a testament to the Hotel’s dedication to sustainability, as it seeks to not only offer world-class luxury, but also to make a positive impact on the local environment and community.
The new initiative centers around the establishment of the Ritz-Carlton Bee Sanctuary, in collaboration with local honey producer, Beema Honey. By introducing Guests to the world of stingless bees and their delectable honey, the program encourages appreciation for local resources and the vital role they play in supporting ecosystems.
The sanctuary will be home for two bee-hives that are made up of two kinds of stingless honeybees; Tetragonula Biroi and Heterotrigona Itama. Both of the beehives produce a honey that is less viscous and is darker than honey bees, usually having a citrus sour sweet taste. The bees store their aromatic honey in clusters of small resin pots near the extremities of the nest.
The honey will be harvested and infused with local ingredients to enhance its delicious and unique flavors. It will then be served for guests to try, through the hotel’s food staple PA.SO.LA. To make the experience even more unique, the masterminds at the restaurant will turn the experience as a gastronomic adventure, enlivening the senses of those who are eager to try.
Additionally, guests may also enjoy the Honey Delight Afternoon Tea, a culinary venture crafted with the finest locally sourced honey. PA.SO.LA’s culinary team is committed to using the freshest and most exquisite honey, harvested right from the beehives.
The ambiance of the Honey Delight Afternoon Tea experience is as enticing as the menu itself. Set in the charming surroundings of Level 8, Guests will be immersed in an atmosphere of refined elegance, with floral accents, creating a soothing and inviting space to savor every bite. The Afternoon Tea set is available, starting at Rp 448,000 for two.
