Success! Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023

T

he Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023 wrapped up on Oct. 15. Over the course of three busy days, this international racing event was a great success and concluded well in the victory of Francesco Bagnaia from the Ducati Lenovo Team.

Pertamina president director and CEO Nicke Widyawati expressed her appreciation for the support of all parties for the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023.

"We hope that Pertamina's support can bring about motorsport success through the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia event and achieve accomplishments for Indonesia as the host of this international event," Nicke stated.

The event did not just serve as a racing sports celebration, but it also had the capacity to create a positive impact on the economy, including local businesses and attracting tourists.

Before the race commenced, Nicke, along with several members of the Pertamina group, also took the time to visit the Pit Lane Walk area at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. Nicke offered encouragement to several teams, including the Pertamina Mandalika SAG racing team and the VR46 team.

"Earlier, I also visited several racing teams, and they mentioned that racing at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit is always memorable," she said.

As the main sponsor of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023, Pertamina also prepared infrastructure and ensured the availability of fuel for the public during the event, especially in the Mandalika area. This racing competition also boosted tourist interest and contributed to the local and regional economies.

As a leading company in the energy transition field, Pertamina is committed to supporting the 2060 net-zero emissions target by continuously promoting programs that have a direct impact on the achievement of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All of these efforts are in line with the implementation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.
