Djoglo Soekarno: Center for Pancasila literacy, mutual cooperation-based economy

T

he Agency for Fostering Pancasila Ideology (BPIP), Yudian Wahyudi, inaugurated Djoglo Soekarno in Talunombo village, Wonosobo, Central Java, on Saturday (18/11).

Djoglo Soekarno was built on an area covering 2.6 hectares, with one main joglo (traditional Javanese house) building, five gazebo units and a statue of Sukarno.

Designed as a center for Pancasila literacy and a mutual cooperation-based Pancasila economy, Yudian said Djoglo Soekarno will serve as a research center for the community to implement the mutual cooperation system that has been running in Talunombo village in accordance with the state ideology of Pancasila.

"As an independent nation, the people of Wonosobo and Indonesian society in general have a complete way of life that has been firmly adhered to from generation to generation,” he said.

In today's economy, Yudian noted that the BPIP was of the view that there was still a need for additional elaboration of the Pancasila Economic System, which can guarantee all economic activity in Indonesian society, based on the principles of kinship and mutual cooperation, which originate from the people, by the people and for the people under the leadership and direct supervision of the government.

"Of course, it is hoped that the Pancasila Economic System can show balanced support for the society and provide the widest possible freedom of business to the people," he said in his keynote speech.

Yudian emphasized that through the Pancasila Economic System, the government aims that all activities of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as large businesses will be able to generate prosperity, eradicate poverty and open up as many employment opportunities as possible while maintaining the ongoing progress of economic development, as mandated by the fifth principle of Pancasila.

"We want the economy and culture to play an important role in realizing the actualization of Pancasila values in society. Of course, the principles of kinship and mutual cooperation that we carry out every day must continue to be our culture in facing every challenge," he stressed.

.

Yudian also expressed his hope that the people of Talunombo could carry out Pancasila literacy by implementing a mutual cooperation system in the environment by utilizing nature so that it can generate income for the community.

"The waste processing carried out by this village has been brilliant and provides additional income for the community. I have also seen firsthand the process of processing waste into diesel fuel so that, in turn, it can fuel the economic cycle in Talunombo village." he explained.

The BPIP’s Inter-Institutional Relations, Socialization, Communication and Networks deputy Prakoso said the Pancasila Economic System was running well in Talunombo village, adding that a unified community could make a very advanced village that serves as an example for people in other villages.

“We as a nation and country have been proven capable of facing the COVID-19 pandemic, the world economic recession due to war and climate change. Hopefully we can emulate the spirit of our elders in fighting for independence, so that the Indonesian nation can repeat its golden achievement in 2045,” he said.

Talunombo Village chief Badarudin said the location of Djoglo Soekarno would become a center for research and community activities, including a Soekarno Gallery, a multipurpose joglo and an edupark area on integrated farming systems, so that later it could nurture a generation of young farmers to support national food security while also encouraging regional tourist visits.

With the construction of Djoglo Soekarno, Badarudin hopes that Talunombo Village can become a pioneering village for Pancasila Ideology Education and a means of sharing history for the next generation of the Indonesian nation.
