elcoming the month of Ramadan, Shangri-La has introduced a new Turkish menu curated by two of its skilled chefs from Shangri-La Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey, namely chef Irfan Goksu and chef Edip Kayahan.
A leader in distinctive Asian hospitality experiences, Shangri-La is the iconic flagship brand of Shangri-La Group. This celebration of Ramadan is a form of its commitment in providing guests with authentic culinary and cultural experiences.
Commemorating the holy month, Shangri-La Jakarta also collaborated with the Turkish Embassy in hosting a special invitation on March 8, welcoming the Turkish ambassadors for a special evening of savory Turkish cuisine.
Aside from being served classic Turkish cuisine such as tavuk (chicken) doner, karisik kebab and Turkish pide (flat bread), the esteemed guests were also offered a dynamic range of flavors from Indonesia, experiencing dishes such as iga bakar nusantara (grilled ribs from the archipelago) and rawon buntut (oxtail stew) among many other dishes.
The invitation event was held at Shangri-La’s very own SATOO Restaurant, and was notably attended by Talip Küçükcan, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Turkey.
