wo Chinese companies and a Japanese firm have inked an agreement with the operator of the Batang integrated industrial zone (KIT) in Central Java, as the three foreign entities plan to set up their facilities in the area.

The agreement, which includes an industrial land use agreement (PPTI) and ready-to-use factory building (BPSP), were signed by Japan’s PT Nesinak Manufacturing Indonesia as well as China’s PT Youmi Medika Industri and PT Luban Material Indonesia.

Nesinak Manufacturing Indonesia will become the first Japanese tenant in the industrial zone. It invested Rp 20 billion (US$1.26 million) and its facility will stand on 1.8 hectares of land. The company will produce electronic and automotive products for export to Japan, the United States and European countries.

“We have been operating in Indonesia for 27 years and Batang KIT offers a big opportunity for our expansion,” Yoshihiko Tanaka, Nesinak Manufacturing Indonesia president-director said, as quoted from CNBC Indonesia.

China’s Youmi Medika Industri, a company with over 20 years of experience in the medical equipment sector, is set to utilize 8.31 ha of land in the industrial zone.

“With modern facilities and infrastructure, we are optimistic that we will reach international markets such as Dubai and South Asia, as well as strengthening Indonesia as the center of medical equipment production,” Youmi Medika Industri director, Windie Bolo Morta said, as quoted by Kompas.
