The feature was introduced over the weekend for Android devices and on Monday morning for devices running iOS.
It allows users to present their status in different ways, where words will be combined with background pictures to make the experience more eye-pleasing than regular status posts.
While the background picture need not necessarily represent the status it supports, users are beginning to enjoy #pathdaily, as it serves statuses with random pictures, creating its own humor and popularizing the update with funny viral "visual thought" posts. However Path limits the status update in #pathdaily to 110 characters.
Aside from #pathdaily, the Daum Kakao-owned app also fired up three more features: Users are now able to edit or erase text, locations details and tags with the moment-editing feature. They can also view friends’ photos in the same places they check into. And the URL to each user’s profiles enables users to promote their own profile and get other people to use the app.
kompas.com reports that users must update to Path version 5.3.0 via Google Play or Apple’s AppStore to use the new features. (asw)
