iewers of the zombie apocalypse hit TV series “The Walking Dead” are still reeling from the death of one of the show’s most endearing characters, Glenn, played by Korean actor Steven Yeun.
The AMC thriller capped off its season 7 opener over the weekend with a heartbreaking reveal, as both Sgt. Abraham Ford (played by Michael Cudlitz) and fan favorite Glenn were the casualties of antagonist Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
In a customary “Farewell to Fans from the Fallen” video where deceased characters from the show say their goodbyes to their loyal fan base, an emotional Yeun expressed his gratitude.

“You gave me one of the greatest experiences of my entire life,” the 32-year-old actor said. “Sincerely, sincerely to every single fan who tuned in and watched the show, thank you so much.”
Shortly after his speech, Yeun received hugs and kisses from and cast and crew of the hit show.
‘Glenn’ has served as the spiritual heart of the series and was loved by many for his strong moral compass. His death was already foretold in the comics, but his brutal demise still resonates throughout The Walking Dead community.
