hillips, a global platform for buying and selling 20th and 21st century art and design, in association with Bacs & Russo, is set to present 43 Watches and Encounters from the The Laurent Picciotto Collection of Contemporary Watches at the Hong Kong Watch Auction: FOUR on May 30.

Picciotto is a well-known Parisian retailer and recognized as one of the original founders of Richard Mille. 

The auction, located at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, Hong Kong, will feature masterworks by Richard Mille, Urwerk, De Bethune, MB&F, Girard-Perregaux, Audemars Piguet, Hublot and HYT.

The company’s international head of watches and deputy chairman of Asia, Sam Hines, said in a press release, “Laurent Picciotto is a titan of watchmaking, having been instrumental in steering the course of the contemporary history of horology. We are thrilled and honored to have been entrusted with the safekeeping and having the opportunity to present this highly cool, interesting and important collection to the market."

In addition to the watch collection, the sale will also include rare brand paraphernalia and memorabilia to accompany each timepiece, such as the Richard Mille electric guitar, sketches, photographs, jackets, travel bags, golf balls and speakers. (asw)
