Indonesian horror movie The Doll 2 is set to be screened in four other countries, namely Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and India.
Created by Hitmaker Studios and scheduled to be released on July 20, the film tells of the terror that befalls a married couple, Maira (Luna Maya) and Aldo (Herjunot Ali). As the couple mourn the daughter they’ve lost in a car accident, strange things happen when their deceased daughter’s birthday arrives. The insidious happenings are magnified in the case of Sabrina, the doll that belonged to their daughter.
Luna was reportedly initially reluctant to star in the horror flick, until persuaded by the film's director and producer Rocky Soraya. This movie is also Herjunot's debut in horror, which he admits presented him with new challenges and lessons.
Other actors starring in the sequel include Sara Wijayanto, Rydhen Afexi, Maria Sabta, Mega Caferansa and Ira Ilva Sari.

Rocky states that the movie’s distributor has already secured 115 theaters for its screening, an increase from the first movie, which was screened in 67 theaters.
In addition to English subtitles, the distributors reportedly will also provide translations into languages suited for each country in which The Doll 2 is screened. (dan/kes)
