inikino, a Bali-based organization dedicated to short films, is scheduled to hold its annual Open December public screening event on Dec. 17 at Minihall Irama Indah in Denpasar, Bali.

Open December welcomes filmmakers seeking to screen their short films during the 120-minute event. With the event set to kick off at 2 p.m. local time, filmmakers will need to submit their films in a digital format, such as H.264 video compression format or MP4 container format, by 1 p.m. at the venue.  

Online registration is also available for those who cannot make it to register at the venue on time, but it does not guarantee their films will be screened.

There will be no curating process and no limitation with be placed on the films' genres, but filmmakers should be present during the screening and the film's duration must not last more than 20 minutes. The event will begin with the shortest film and end with a discussion.

This year’s Open December, which has garnered significant attention, especially from local filmmakers, will be the event’s 15th installment since first being held in 2003. (kes)
