A

merican rock band Paramore will be performing live tomorrow, Feb. 16, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang.

The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro. Bursting into the emo-pop scene in 2005, Paramore developed a more expansive approach lately by incorporating new sounds in the style of synth pop and dance rock.

Releasing five albums in the span of 12 years, and marching on through tumultuous times after rumors a break up and multiple members leaving following legal complications, Paramore managed to drop critically acclaimed pieces, including grabbing a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song for “Ain’t It Fun” in 2005.

In April 2017, they released the single "Hard Times" from their fifth studio album, After Laughter. To promote the album, they went on tour, starting last May. Starting in the United States, they continued to Europe, Australia and Asia this year.

The Guardian recently reported from a Paramore concert of how the audience bellowed back the lyrics about despondency and emotional strife with the fervor of people whose lives have been genuinely touched by the music. As music writer Alexis Petridis wrote, “Paramore’s lasting appeal becomes self-evident.”

To keep the hype high, Spotify has just made a "This Is: Paramore" playlist:

Their best songs, such as “Misery Business” and “Still Into You”, are ready to get the audience pumped up for the concert. (wen)
