Go-Food's "Ganti Lokasi" can be used to order takeouts for someone in another part of the country.
o-Food, a food delivery service of Indonesia’s ride-hailing app Go-Jek, now lets its customers order food from different Indonesian regions.
Dubbed Ganti Lokasi (change location), users can use this new feature by typing the city or region name in the "Your Location" section above the Go-Food page. It can be used to order takeouts to be delivered a maximum distance of 25 kilometers.
Launched this month, Ganti Lokasi is boasted as an expression of love for parents, siblings, friends or perhaps romantic partners who live in distant places.

“We created this feature to respond to our loyal customers’ needs, especially those who are in long-distance relationships, as this food delivery service can be used in different cities, provinces and even islands,” Go-Food's marketing vice president Aristo Kristandyo said in an official statement.
The feature is also perceived as an innovation to widen the scope of Go-Food’s merchant partners.
" […] So far, Go-Food has teamed up with almost 400,000 merchant partners, 80 percent of which are small business enterprises. Through this ongoing technology development, we wish to continue supporting culinary businesses, hence Go-Jek can serve as a strategic business enabler to all our ecosystem,” said Aristo. (wir/kes)
